Favorite TV Show of All Time

Saturday, March 5th, 2011

Everyone has their favorite TV show and it would be possible to debate forever about which ones shine above the rest. However, over the course of popular television, there have been a few shows that have stood the test of time and have been adored by audiences of all ages.

It is difficult to imagine a show about surgeons in the midst of a war being funny, but that is exactly what M.A.S.H. was. The unique blend of drama and comedy had audiences laughing with the characters one moment and weeping for them the next. Although the show has been off the air for many years, it remains a favorite among audiences who watched it originally and those who are discovering it for the first time in syndication.

Just like M.A.S.H., The West Wing is a show that many people would not think could possibly be funny, and yet it was. Although it focused primarily on political themes and was, at its heart, a drama, it was known for having an underlying wit to the characters and storylines. The show had several writers over the years, but true fans believe that it was at its best when Aaron Sorkin was behind the wheel.

If the mark of the best TV show of all time is a show that integrated its way into everyday life, then there is no show that can compete with Seinfeld. The show coined a variety of phrases that people continue to use every day, such as “double dipping” and “close talker.” Although it often discussed topics that were somewhat taboo, it was never offensive and was enjoyed by almost everyone who watched it.

The best TV shows of all time are the ones that have made audiences run a gamut of emotions, from laughter to sadness. Shows like Seinfeld are beloved by audiences because they have made their way into everyday conversation, even years after they stopped filming. Everyone has their own favorite, but these shows have made a lasting impression on popular culture.

Brett Butler played the main character in this show. The premiere was shown on September 29, 1993 and it ran on ABC for nearly five years. This was last aired on February 17, 1998.

The story line is funny. Grace was a genuine lady thinking to escape from the alcoholism of her hobby and also trying to get divorce from the abusive husband. He was also an alcoholic addict. The moments are caricatured by comedy scenes. She wanted to bring up her children protecting them from bad habits and making them to avoid the mistakes they have done. Grace was working in an oil refinery and there were many funny characters. The TV show had pictures based on a serious theme of real life, but made it highly enjoyable with humor filled relationships of Grace with her coworkers, and also with the characters in the neighborhood, named Nadine, Wade and a pharmacist bachelor Russell. The show revolves around the heroines fight to come out from alcoholism and drugs.
