Entertainment and Alcohol in Park City
Contrary to what you may have heard, there is an active nightlife in the Deer Valley area. Actually, the Deer Valley area has more alcoholic beverage businesses per capita than any other place in Utah. If you are going to drink here you should know a couple things about Utah's liquor laws. A number of establishments that provide alcohol are private clubs. Visitors may acquire an low-cost membership that's good for three weeks at that establishment. This allows admission and consumption of alcoholic beverages during that time period. So there are lots of places where you can get a good drink, see live entertainment, and dance; if that is in your vacation plans.
To locate the nicest selection of clubs and pubs, head to Park Citys historic district. If you wish to enjoy live-entertainment check out the Spur Bar and Grill on Main Street. Smoking is prohibited in this establishment. Despite the fact that it is cowboy themed, it is comfortable instead of rustic. The Spurs sister location is 350 S. Main. Their Jupiter Cosmopolitan was chosen, in 2005, to be Park City's signature drink. Another place offering music (jazz, funk, or acoustic) is Mother Urbans Ratskeller. This place is well-known for their burritos and wide-selection of bottled beers. |
While the 2002 Olympics were in Salt Lake celebrities flocked to Harry Os. This is a hip dance club with live bands or a DJ. Club dress is required and lines are to be expected. Futhermore, be prepared for a heavier membership fee at this extremely popular hangout. Another spot to dance is Ciseros. This place is a crowded dance club on one floor and a top-quality dining establishment on the other.
Other bars of interest are OShucks and No Name Saloon. OShucks is named for the endless amounts of oysters they serve. O'Shuck's is little and can bring a crowdparticularly locals. Tuesday nights offer $3 giant beers and hamburgers. No Name Saloon is next door offering live music and an enjoyable atmosphere. More places you can go to eat and drink are Bandits Bar and Grill and Wasatch Brewing Company. Bandits is a casual place offering barbecue and steak fries. Wasatch Brewing Company also offers casual dining and local brews.
You will not have to go far to locate a cool, nighttime hangout. Whether you're looking for a traditional pub, a romantic date bar, or a noisy dance club; there are heaps of options. Regardless of the time of year, you'll be able to locate a drinking establishment that fits your mood and budget. |
